Step into a world of colour and imagination with Purple Carrots Drama Studio’s spectacular spring program: “Over the Rainbow!”
This season, we invite carrots (Ages 9-15, 16-20, and 21+) to search for treasure after a spring shower, and “defy gravity” in our supportive, vibrant community. Drawing inspiration from the magic of rainbows, the renewal of spring, and the empowering themes of friendship, our workshops are a safe space for every artist to access their pot-o-gold potential! Through drama, play, movement, and art, participants will celebrate every shade of imagination! Click your heels together – there’s no place like Purple Carrots this spring!

We want to share an important update to how our Spring, Fall, and Winter workshops will be structured moving forward.
As our Carrots grow, so does our responsibility to ensure every participant is set up to thrive. After thoughtful review, we’re evolving our workshop model to separate participants into more clearly defined age groups. This shift allows us to better match individuals with peers in a similar life stage, creating an environment where confidence, creativity, and collaboration can truly shine.
We’re confident this change strengthens the overall workshop experience. That said, we also recognize that adjustments like this can impact individual plans. If this update affects you or your family, we genuinely want to talk it through and explore options together.
Youth+ (Ages 9-15) | Saturday’s from 12:30pm-2:30pm
Teens & Young Adults (Ages 16-20) | Saturday’s from 3:30pm-5:30pm
Adults (Ages 21+) | Sunday’s from 11:00am-1:00pm
Please be advised that Camp Carrot Summer camps will stay Teens & Adults (Ages 16+) for the time-being.
In addition, we’re making a strategic change to our virtual offerings. We will no longer be running a full virtual workshop program. However, keeping our community connected remains a priority. To that end, we’ll be:

Reimagining how we use our social media platforms and website to keep our community engaged, connected, and inspired online
This is about focus, sustainability, and long-term impact—ensuring Purple Carrots continues to grow with intention while staying aligned with the needs of our community.

All That Glitters AND Purple Jam Improv – Winter Workshops
Winter Workshops Are Underway!
Our winter session is off to a sparkling start with All That Glitters, and the energy in the studio is contagious! There’s still time to jump in on the fun—our Purple Jam Improv workshop in Vancouver is open for registration until January 19. Don’t miss your chance to play, create, and connect with fellow carrots this season!

A virtual improv workshop for teens & adults ages 18+
Join us online for 90 minutes of laughter, connection, and creative play — and shake those sillies OUT!
These themed Purple Pop-up Events are created by Purple Carrots Executive Director Alana Perri and COO Liv Meriano! Shake Your Sillies Out is a joyful introduction to improv that’s welcoming, supportive, and FUN. No experience needed!
Who it’s for:
Teens and Adults (ages 18+) who want to loosen up, meet new people, and build confidence in a playful setting. Open to the public!

There’s something so energizing about hitting “send” on our first newsletter of the year—it feels like opening the curtain on a brand-new stage filled with possibilities.
This year, we’re focused on making Purple Carrots an even more vibrant space for imagination, learning, and connection. From our workshops and performances to community events and collaborations, our goal is to continue nurturing creativity at every age and stage, while finding new ways to inspire, engage, and celebrate the magic of drama and the arts.
